WIN a $150 book pack

Buzz Words and Bookworld have combined to offer readers the chance to WIN a $150 book pack of children's and YA titles. And it's perfect timing with Christmas just around the corner. 

Included in the pack is the dystopian YA novel Allegiant, the conclusion to Veronica Roth's New York Times bestselling DIVERGENT trilogy. Divergent is also set to be released as a movie in March 2014 and starring Kate Winslett.

 Allegiant takes Tris on new challenges and having to face impossible choices. She questions everything and everyone, including herself. Told from the dual perspectives of Tris and Four, all the secrets of this dystopian world will be revealed.

The remainder of the books in the pack will be a Christmas surprise, but rest assured that they will all be children's and YA titles.

    How can you ask readers what their favourite book is? There are so many books to love and when you're a reader you love a lot of them! So I'll tell you what I read for comfort and reread and am rereading now, and that's Terry Pratchett's Tiffany Aching quartet. I love the way Tiffany grows from a smart-aleck nine year do with a frying pan to wack the Queen of Faerie to a young witch who knows her responsibilities, including giving up a childhood love - and meets another Terry Pratchett heroine who wasn't too unlike Tiffany as a girl!

    The book pack sounds great - I could really use it in my library as soon as it's read!

    Seeing as I think about picture books a lot, well, all the time, I'll say John Brown, Rose and the Midnight Cat. The story has such depth and the characters and illustrations to memorable. Thanks, Vicki.

      Thanks for your contribution and what a great pick! Jenny Wagner's text and Ron Brook's illustrations combine to make a masterpiece. One of the first books I bought for my kids and it's still a favourite. It's also looking well-loved from being read so many times!

    What a very hard question. It's like asking me which is my favourite kid. I love so many books, and a lot of books I read are part of a series (I mainly read YA) so that makes it hard to just say one because a series is one long story really.
    Melina Marchetta has to be one of, if not my favourite author so I'm going to go with one of her books. And I'll have to go with Finnikin of the Rock (and Froi of the Exiles and Quintana of Charyn) because epic fantasy is my favourite genre.

      Melina Marchetta has to be one of Australia's best authors. I read Saving Francesca in a day.

    I'm sorry, the best I can do is ONE of my favourites :) I love A Short History of Nearly Everything by Bill Bryson, I'm a huge fan of his writing in general and this helped make science (not my best subject) appealing and interesting to me.

    Nothing to apologise for with Bill Bryson. He's a super entertaining author and speaker. Science isn't my best subject either and anyone who can make that interesting is a genius!

    I love reading YA and have many titles I would recommend. But I love, love, love The Bronze Horseman by Paullina Simons.

    I'm a fan of the classics. And like other readers, choosing one is so hard but I can honestly say that I love, love, love The Hobbit. It was read to my 4th grade teacher in the school library. I read it again when I was in my late teens. And then I read it again on a few years ago. I have loaned it to my niece and I'm waiting to get it back on my shelf!
