Janeen Brian
reports that she has had two books commissioned by Hameray Publishing for the
American educational market. Rosa Parks: Riding for Freedom
and Helen Keller: Living in dark silence are two of 40 titles
from Inspire!, a unique series of informational text chapter books for grades 2-3. The series
features biographies of twenty extraordinary trailblazers. Each biography is
paired with a nonfiction chapter book that explores a key theme related to the

Janeen has also had a poem, ‘Storm’ and
a reprint of a story, ‘Vaska, the Very Old Ghost’ accepted by The School
Magazine.
