Local CBCA sub-branch authors

Many of our members and friends have been involved with the NSW Branch Lunchtime Storytimes on Facebook live every weekday at 12 MD. This has been a wonderful initiative and great collaboration between NSW Branch, volunteers, authors, illustrators, and publishers. Committee members Oliver Phommavanh and Debra Tidball were on recently, and our intrepid co-president, Jan Latta has a turn on Tuesday this week. Check out the CBCA NSW Facebook page here for all the details and catch up on ones you've missed  - although don't leave it too long as some publishers have only given permission for the video to be up for a short while.

Oliver Phommavanh has been keeping busy starting a new YouTube channel for writing lessons and book reviews. You can find Virtual Oliver P here.

Louise Park has been doing lots of media about her adult book, 7 Steps to Get Your Child Reading which was launched in February, and the second instalment in her middle grade trilogy Grace’s Secrets is coming out later in the year. So watch out for that one.

Jan Latta has had her enormously successful big cat True to Life Books translated into Chinese.

Yvonne Low has been busy making some fun Lola and Grandpa art Activity Sheets including a Daisy Maze, Join-the-dots, Spot the Creature and much more. To discover more about how this beautiful picture book was created, Teacher Notes are also available, along with Fun Facts and extra activities for the kids.  Free Downloads available here.
