Poppy knows what she wants in a boyfriend and does not settle for less. In fact, she has created a ‘dream man’ list of all the qualities she is looking for in a partner. Cam has never been in an enduring relationship as he always focuses on what isn’t working and ends relationships prematurely. 

 

Poppy and Cam’s fussy worlds collide when they are both secretly challenged by their respective friends to make their next relationship work. Despite an initial interest by both parties, neither Poppy or Cam could care less after the first date. However, as neither can be the one to end things due to their challenge, it results in a comedic conundrum.

 

Red Flags is a young adult romantic comedy written with the alternating narrative voices of Poppy and Cam. If 2003 film How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days and 1999 film 10 Things I Hate About You had a narrative baby… this novel would be it!
